Advice on Infrastructure Works and Land Rights
We act exclusively for landowners and farmers in their dealings with utility and infrastructure companies, including electricity, water, gas, roads, rail, telecommunications and data centre projects. From the first approach through to final reinstatement, we manage the entire process on our clients' behalf - handling all communication with the utility provider and their agents, taking clear instructions, and ensuring our clients remain in control throughout.
Our role includes drafting and negotiating robust compensation claims for land rights (including wayleaves), access, disturbance, crop loss and long-term impact. We scrutinise technical proposals, challenge assumptions where required, and ensure agreements properly reflect both immediate disruption and future constraints on the holding. We also oversee reinstatement standards, making certain that land is restored appropriately and treated with the respect it deserves.
With deep agricultural roots, we fully understand how infrastructure works affect drainage, soil structure, cropping cycles, livestock systems and operational efficiency. That practical insight, combined with strong commercial judgement, disciplined negotiation and extensive utilities experience, places us in a powerful position to protect our clients' interests and secure fair, defensible outcomes.
